The MBC Friday-Saturday drama 21st Century Grand Prince's Wife — which plunged South Korea into the fantasy of a constitutional monarchy — is being published as an uncut official script book set.

Set in a version of the Republic of Korea that maintains a constitutional monarchy, the story follows Seong Hee-ju, the daughter of South Korea's top conglomerate family who is repeatedly held back by her status as a 'commoner,' and Grand Prince Lee An, the king's son who cannot fully possess anything despite his royal birth. Harboring different motives, the two embark on a dangerous contract marriage — a story of defying destiny and breaking social barriers.

The script book is based on the original screenplay by writer Yoo Ji-won, winner of the Excellence Award at the MBC Screenplay Contest. It preserves the full texture of the work — including unaired scenes cut during broadcast editing, detailed stage directions, and intimate psychological descriptions of the characters — exactly as written in the original text. Moments that passed on screen in silence and glances come alive in even more vivid language on the page.
