Rosé’s first studio album, rosie, was released worldwide on December 6. Featuring 12 tracks—including the pre-released singles “APT.” and “number one girl”—this album cements Rosé’s status as a singer-songwriter by showcasing her active involvement in both writing and composing every song.

Its musical quality is further elevated by the participation of renowned Hollywood producers Greg Kurstin, Michael Pollack, Amy Allen, Carter Lang, and Bruno Mars. Not only does rosie mark the beginning of Rosé’s own musical identity, but it has also captured global attention regarding her future path as a solo artist.

The album’s concept stems from personal stories Rosé often shared with family and close friends. Each of the 12 songs candidly portrays her experiences—falling in love, getting hurt, feeling uncertain, and figuring out life in her 20s—making them as familiar and comforting as a friend’s story. Though based on her own life, the raw honesty in these reflections resonates universally, reminding listeners that everyone faces growing pains and setbacks.

The title rosie comes from a nickname used by Rosé’s inner circle. With this album, she hopes listeners will regard her with the same warm closeness that the name “rosie” implies.
